Can't say that they do, but the muni PIO said the MLPD had their own LeboALERT, and that would seem to make their Deputy Chief their apparent PIO since he issues all public announcements about police matters. Did you notice in his written announcement about the hit & run guy it was worded so that one could read it to mean that because the MLPD investigation ID'd the bad guy and issued an arrest warrant, he turned himself into the County cops. In other words, the MLPD investigators sol-ved the crime ? But I don't think so, do you ? I think the bad guy turned himself in to the County cops two days after the hit & run on his own, and the County cops then notified the MLPD. Read all PIO releases very carefully. They can be ambiguous.

11:59 admittedly I haven't been following the hit and run closely, but I'd assume the driver got wind of the PD issuing a warrant and figure out he wasn't going to get away.
I don't have a problem with the job the police did.
Could they have gotten an alert out in the beginning, faster perhaps.
I'm not going to play armchair quarterback on this one.
The best thing all residents could do is slow down, stay off phones while driving and follow the posted rules of the road.
Pedestrians, joggers need to pay attention too.

Please, please commission don't give her any raise. She not going anywhere. Sadly.

Give her a raise? Quite frankly I'm weary of her columns on her vacations, shortcuts thru the community, her preference for grocery shoppers and her haircut and lunch meetings.
Pretty sure this wasn't what MTL magazine was created for.

Elaine What would happen if several hundred people wrote on their Mt Lebo Magazine "Return to Sender" and mailed it back? Or since our wonderful thoughtful commissioners are mostly democrats and democrats big goal is Global Warming maybe a "Save the Tree Kill Lebo Magazine" campaign complete with yard signs. I know our poor mailman has to climb our hills and all our steps to deliver it. Think of his knees Dave! Save the poor working man DAVE!!!
